Everyday the wild plants call for Zen
(2024)
“Everyday the wild plants call for Zen” is a love poem to the native and common plants of San Potito commune. Almost forgotten or taken for granted, they somehow found their place in my studio, sitting together in an almost impossible equilibrium state.

I did little but highlighted their elegance and diversity - which have always been here. It matters that we shift our perspective. From seeing them as objects to more-than-human beings, from passing-by to stopping-by to taste their beauty.

Wild Zen is my poetry and it is also nature’s poetry made visible.

Mother

Found materials around Fatelab studio car park and discarded log from Antonio's forest garden.

Sanzen

Pebbles and wild plants from Fatelab studio car park.
These elements are mostly invisible. They are a part of the everyday background rather than the object for appreciation and contemplation. With them, I find great flexibility to work with composition, dissecting and sculpting them into something completely unexpected.
