This collection presents original designs for MUJI Vietnam in their "One Tree for Every Tote" campaign, November 2022. The two main designs - Forest and Ocean - is inspired by Zen Buddhist Monk Thich Nhat Hanh's teaching on Deep Ecology and his core teaching of Interbeing.

For millions of years, Mother Nature has nurtured all living creatures, including humans. Our breath is an exchange of "food" with plants. In the forest, plants have personalities and exchange within a network, while also providing homes for thousands of creatures. Under the deep sea, algae forms the an otherworldly forest, providing more than half of the world's oxygen. As we grow into often forget this close connection.

Our Interbeing Nature is a love song to our connection with all living beings around us. Seeing us in the circle of life of the forest and ocean, we are reminded that this is where we came from and will return to. Understanding this bond, we no longer see the forest and the sea as external entities that need "our protection". Tending to the forest and the ocean is tending our own lives. When we bravely examine our daily choices, not only do we protect Her but also writing the future of our own species.
